I have a new Installation of Zenoss Virtual Machine (Centos/Zenoss 4.2.4)
I have 85 cisco routers successfully discovered.
Of those 58 are modeling without issue.
27 are Failing to model, and getting zen.ZenModeler: Client xxxxx timeout

I have tested SNMP connectivity from the Server to the Clients, SNMPWALK works against the devices from both commandline and Web GUI (but in the web gui it times out at 60 sec).

Routers vary in model, but all have the same SNMP config.

Turned on debug in Zenmodeler config, but it doesn't seem to give me any more data in the log or the gui:

2014-04-18 09:23:34,161 INFO zen.ZenModeler: Daemon ZenModeler shutting down

Also tried changing the zCollectorClientTimeout to 300 (just let it run longer, and timedout at 300.xx seconds)

Anyone have any recommendations for next steps in troubleshooting this
how I can get some more info on which plugin it's failing on from zenmodeler

What version of SNMP are you using In the Zenoss VM, are you using NAT or Bridged Mode

What are the pings like from the Zenoss Server to a troublesome cisco router and vice versa All in the same LAN

Exactly same issue, the problem seem bound to the RTT of devices, any idea
Setup: Zenoss 4.2.5, CentOS 6.5 (VM).

keep upping the timeout, use 'time snmpget' or 'time snmpwalk' on a small table to give you an idea of what the timeout should be.
