Hi,
I am new to Zenoss and the forums. I am having a problem with my new Zenoss 4.2.4 core installation where my linux NAS box does not show Used Bytes, Free Bytes or % util (see https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/5129716/Untitled.jpg ). How do I make it recognize this information If my memory serves me correct when I first added the device the information showed up correctly, however now it does not. The device has not been modified during the time I first added it and now.

Installed plugins: PrinterMIB, CiscoEnvMon, OSX, PredictiveThreshold, snmpExtend

Modeler Plugins: NewDeviceMap, DeviceMap, HPDeviceMap, DellDeviceMap, InterfaceMap, RouteMap IpServiceMap, HRFileSystemMap, HRSWRunMap, CpuMap, HPCPUMap, DellCPUMap, DellPCIMap

Also one other problem (that has occurred since I set the device up) is that it is not showing my 12TB Raid0/Data I expect this is because the SNMP value for the totalBlocks is negative

Thank you for any help you can provide,
Reid

Your graph shows a utilisation value has just arrived but the top part of the window with the text data is still showing zeros. The top part is only updated when the device is modeled by the zenmodeler daemon, typically every 12 hours by default. You might try modelling it manually - use the Action icon (the little cog symbol at the bottom left) and Model the Device - that may well update the values at the top for you. It is the HRFileSystemMap modeler plugin that is actually gathering this information for you - and it needs SNMP access to the device to do so.

Your graph data is gathered by a component performance template which automatically binds to each of the file systems that the modeler has discovered - you should never change the name of a component template as the automatic binding depends on the name. Typically a performance template will gather data every 5 minutes - which may explain why you are starting to see graph data but not data up-top.

Cheers,

Jane
