Hi Mohammed,
Yes but we use Oracle Enterprise Manager for several oracle products (Siebel, SOA, Weblogic, ...) so we want to send this info to the ZenOSS monitoring system. Do you think that's possible

This is possible and is easy if you have a zenpack available, which extends the functionality and helps in discovering the target product.
I see only weblogic zenpack available.
If you are a python developer, you can write modeler plugins and integrate these things. Everything is possible in Zenoss and it requires to be good in Python and zope.

Hi Mohamad,
We are checking serveral tools because intergration with Oracle Enterprise Manager must be available in the monitoring solution. Our environment is running for 50% on Oracle :-). I have check the Oracle website and it's also possible to send events by SNMP. Do you have experience with that Is it easy to configure in ZenOSS
thx!!

The beauty of Zenoss is you can customize it the way you want it. If you do not have enterprise support withzenoss - you can install Nagios zenpack which is available for Zenoss. This opens a doorway for you to use Nagios plugins in zenoss.
You can refer the below link forNagios plugins and use them in zenoss via Nagios zenpack functionalities.
https://www.nagios.com/solutions/oracle-monitoring/
I havent tried this, but It must work.
You can also use other tools zenpacks to integrate with zenoss to extend the scope of monitoring, if zenpack isavailable. Or you can develop your own.
PS: You are just a plugin/zenpack away which is required to discover the services/components etc either via SNMP or WMI or any other method.

Hi Mohammed,
In the documentation I can find this:
http://wiki.zenoss.org/ZenPack:Oracle_Database_(Community)
With SNMP Trap destination setup in Oracle Enterprise Manager it is the best way to monitor many Oracle Single Instance/RACs for FREE
So this means that there is an integration with OEM is possible (SNMP trap). I can't find specific documentation about that. We are going to use the enterprise version.
