Hey,

Zenoss(V 4.2.5) is used since 2014 for monitoring servers. It was working fine. But since 3 days heartbeat failure errors are popping up, because of which monitoring has stopped. All service like mysql, rabbitmq, memcached and zenoss are working fine. I also tried restarting services which didn't help. Following error has occurred:
localhost zenmodeler heartbeat failure
localhost zenhub heartbeat failure
localhost zenactiond heartbeat failure
localhost zeneventd heartbeat failure
localhost zenstatus heartbeat failure
localhost zenprocess heartbeat failure
localhost zencommand heartbeat failure
localhost zenjmx heartbeat failure
localhost zenping heartbeat failure
localhost zenperfsnmp heartbeat failure
localhost zenpython heartbeat failure
localhost zensyslog heartbeat failure
localhost zentrap heartbeat failure
Referred few sites online which asked to clear heartbeat in event.heartbeat table, but no such table is present in zenoss. Also daemon_heartbeat table has no records. As zenoss is really important to manage servers could anybody please help with this.

Thanks.

I suggest you to run the Zenoss toolbox utilities first and get most of the things fixed to troubleshoot further.

Here is the guide to use the toolbox.

Subject: Are these Zenoss daemons

Are these Zenoss daemons actually running Try "zenoss status".

If you haven't already done so, I would restart all the zenoss processes with:

zenoss stop

Check that all processes starting with zen are actually stopped

zenoss start

Cheers,

Jane
