Can I get some help with setting up a custom SSH monitor for Linux machines. I have look through the admin docs and the various web pages out there and I am still not able to get anything working. The most detailed info I have found is;

I following this process it still does not work for me and I am making it as simple as echoing a value to graph.

I had the same trouble recently and you can get good debug info using zencommand ( ex. zencommand -d ${SERVER_IP} -v 10 ).
You should also give this post a read, it helped me get mine up and working.

you're best off writing the script outside zenoss for testing, then pasting it in. Take a look at the Postfix ZenPack for a simple example:
