When I create a monitoring template it asks me for a device class with which to associate it.

I would like to change the device class for a monitoring template because I have changed my mind about how to arrange the devices in the class hierarchy. How may I edit the monitoring template to change the device class association please.

Monitoring templates do not have to be bound to any specific Device Class. I imagine the initial info is to simplify things for you, you'll want to bind it to some class to use it presumably. So the way you change where a monitoring template is bound is via the gear icon in the bottom of the left hand pane when looking at the appropriate device class. Select "Bind Templates" and move them from selected to available or the reverse as appropriate. James Pulver CLASSE Computer Group Cornell University
