Subject: | adding a device to a group |

Hello,
I am using Zenoss 4.2.5 and have created a few hundred devices using zenbatchload utility. I also created several groups in the Group organizer. I'm having issues with the next step of logically grouping the devices.
I created a zenDMD python script and use addDeviceGroup() to add the relation between a device and a specific group. After executing the script, I see mods on Zenoss Core web interface: each device has an updated Groups attribute, also the counter in the specific group is also incremented. However, the device listing for the group is empty. I should be able to see all devices associated with any group on the web interface. What am I missing
Appreciate any help.
Rashmi

zendmd can still be used but is not well supported. I would suggest using the built in JSON API. For more, read here: http://wiki.zenoss.org/Working_with_the_JSON_API
