Subject: | Events Links do not point correctly |

All,
following this tutorial http://wiki.zenoss.org/Newsletter:5/Encrypt_All_the_Bits I have changed my site to SSL.
What I see now is that when an alert is triggered the links in the e-mail point to old mydomain.com:8080/zport/dmd/Events/etc.
instead of the correct httpS://mydomain.com/zport/dmd/Events/etc.
How can I change this
Regards,
G.

I see the same thing if you hover over the links in the email, but if you click the link, mine redirects to https://
I am on 4.2.5 SUP457.
Cheers,
Jane

Do you redirect traffic from port 8080 to 443 somehow or do you have a specific entry for it on NGINX configuration

Hmmm. I had an older article I used that used Apache to do the https stuff, not nginx - that article now seems to have disappeared in favour of the one you have. Happy to zend you my apache configs if you want to use that Send me a note to jane.curry@skills-1st.co.uk.
The nginx configs may be doing the same thing but i don't have an implementation her to compare it with.
Cheers,
Jane

Thanks for the offer Jane! I will ping you if I need anything.
Meanwhile, can you just check and let me know if you are using the default template for e-mail alerts and not a custom one containing hard-coded the HTTPS link
Mine looks like this:
${evt/message}
Event Detail
Acknowledge
Close
Device Events
If you are using the default can you further check the $ZENHOME/etc/zenactiond.conf file and let me know if you have specified the HTTPS there at the "zopeurl" parameter.
Setting the "zopeurl" seems to solve the problem, but I am not sure that this is the optimal solution. I worry if I am missing something else or that this will not break anything else in the future...
Best regards,
G.

OK!
Then I will send you an e-mail soon and I will wait for you to reply back with you apache.conf to see if I am missing something...
Best,
G.

Jane thank you very much for the document :-)
I will check to see if I can go from the Apache directions that you 've send me to Nginx.
Warmest regards,
G.
