Subject: | SNMP trap mapping issue |

Hi there
I am having trouble with 2 devices and their traps.
I have imported their mibs, and what they send is usefull, but after mapping it, i wanted to set some to informative, other to errors, and use transformations to replace the "sumary" with more usefull info (it comes in the trap, but i have to double click it and scroll).
My issue was originally with one of those devices, but now both have it.
The trap comes with the instance name/event class key containing a dot (.).
Example:
compaq.136034476
hpHttpMgTraps.4
The "hp" ones always had those issues.
The "compaq" one used to come like "sCellEventTrap-0d-35", but now it has changed.
The actual problem is that zenoss does not allow a DOT in those fields, so i can't edit them after maping them. If i do edit them and change those values, the maping no longer works, because it does not match, right
Should zenoss allow for dots in those fields, or is there another solution
