Subject: | problem with showing Mikrotik information in Zenoss |

I've recently tried adding a Mikrotik RouterBoard to my zenoss core. Unfortunately after adding it, I don't get any kind of informaion(graphs, OS, ...).
also, regardless of enabling SNMP(and entering associated information) on my Mikrotik, I recieve the error "SNMP agent down- no response recieved".
what's the problem what should I do

did you install the Mikrotik ZenPack
Did you have the SNMP agent answer to the IP address for the Zenoss Box (you may need to change this in winbox).
if you can't get it to work, dump the snmp portion of the config via the CLI and paste it here.

Yes, I've installed the Mikrotik ZenPack, also I've added the Mikrotik Router to Mikrotik device class.
Please clarify this for me: "Did you have the SNMP agent answer to the IP address for the Zenoss Box (you may need to change this in winbox)." how can I check that

trap target/addresses. Both appear to be set reasonably.
authentication-protocol: MD5
encryption-protocol: DES
These concern me. Let me fire up a mikrotik real quick and test

ok, I have tested this and it does work.
name: public

[root@zenoss4 ~]# snmpwalk -v2c -c public 192.168.100.206
SNMPv2-MIB::sysDescr.0 = STRING: RouterOS RB750
SNMPv2-MIB::sysObjectID.0 = OID: SNMPv2-SMI::enterprises.14988.1
DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (70400) 0:11:44.00
...
once I was able to snmpwalk the box from my Zenoss instance, I was able to add and monitor the device. Please check your firewall settings. It may help to explicitly add a rule for UDP 161 at the top of your Input chain so that you can monitor the counters.

I chose another Mikrotik RouterBoard(750 series), and I added that to the device list(with exactly the same SNMP configuration as my initial RouterBoard). My question is this: Although I've installed Mikrotik zenpack on my zenoss core, the only information that I'm able to see about my new RouterBoard is its FileSystems and interface. Is there anything that zenoss is supposed to show me, or its the whole available information that is being shown to me

check under "Graphs". You'll see CPU, RAM, Store, Wifi clients, and signal strength.
On your production box, I will guarantee you it's a firewall issue if you're getting connection refused. You're going to have to ensure that the router can accept connections on UDP:161 from the Zenoss box.
