How can I change the time in Zenoss. The system (server) time is correct but the time in Zenoss is 3 hours behind.

Kind Regards,

Carlo Malipaard

Zenoss 4 uses system time. If Zenoss is behind it's likely because the timezone or time (NTP) was changed after Zenoss started. Please restart Zenoss, and failing that restart the server with a correct /etc/localtime, and correct hardware/software clocks.

It is possible you've run into a bug of some sort. I'd suggest updating to 4.2.5 and the latest ZenUp patch to see if it resolves your issue.

This sounds like the kind of problem where your system expects hwclock time in UTC and it's in local time or vice versa; so as the system boots it's in the wrong timezone until /etc/localtime gets applied (sorry that's kind of vague). I've seen a similar problem in syslog entries where some daemons log in UTC and some in localtime...

Its in the /opt/bin/zopectl file. Restart Zenoss and the time is correct.

you might want to make sure that ntpdate/ntpd is run before Zenoss starts, otherwise you could continue to see this issue.
