Subject: | Suddenly unable to add further devices |

I've been adding batches of devices today and everything was going smoothly... until it wasn't.
Adding a batch of 40 Linux/SNMP devices using the "Add Multiple Devices" page, I got a strange result where about half of the devices were flagged "Aborted" with a yellow warning. The other half were successful.
The ones that showed "Aborted" mostly have two entries in the Jobs listing. The first is a Failure with logging like this:
2015-05-08 17:18:45,590 INFO zen.Job: Job ac556abd-cf44-420d-a087-d6642317dcb8 (Products.ZenModel.ZDeviceLoader.CreateDeviceJob) received
2015-05-08 17:18:45,623 INFO zen.Job: Starting job ac556abd-cf44-420d-a087-d6642317dcb8 (Products.ZenModel.ZDeviceLoader.CreateDeviceJob)
2015-05-08 17:19:08,644 ERROR zen.Job: Job ac556abd-cf44-420d-a087-d6642317dcb8 failed with an exception
2015-05-08 17:19:08,644 ERROR zen.Job:
2015-05-08 17:19:08,824 INFO zen.Job: Dependent job(s) 65ac35a0-b3a6-4626-b75a-bb66d2485b05 aborted
The second is a blank "Aborted" entry with no logfile.
All this would be fine except that I can no longer add anything at all. Any attempt to add via "Add Multiple Devices" or "Add a Single Device" results in failure, specifically with this message at the top of the page:
TypeError: can't compare datetime.datetime to NoneType
I tried deleting one of the successfully added devices and then adding it again. Now it fails like the others.
This feels like some sort of data corruption within the system but I've no idea where to look. Am going to continue looking but wanted to get this posted in case anyone has insight.
Thanks,
Allen

I can't figure this out either, but I am seeing the zenjobs service bouncing and failing on stable workers, thought I cannot find any messages on why the workers are stopping.

If this is Z4, I'd check the database for a potential integrity problem
If this is Z5, get some additional logs and file a P1 bug.

I've had the same issue.
Clearing the jobs in the jobs tab under advanced fixed it for me.
