Zenoss 4.2.5 - Event Email Notification - Device shows IP address but I need the DNS name to appear
I looked through many forum links to find an answer to this but have not found anything that works yet.
Someone must have solved this issue.
In the email notification html,
${evt/device} displays an IP address but I need to see the device name or title
Based on forum responses, I tried ...
${evt/device/title}
${evt/device_title}
${evt/device/Name/}
The 4.2.5 admin guide Appendix D does not reference a TALES name for this field. (Help!)
What is the appropriate method on getting the device DNS name to appear in email
I am open to implement whatever works.

Sounds like your device's name is actually it's IP address... rename it at the device level and you won't have to worry about this in a notification.
