Subject: | Memory Utilization monitoring in Zenoss Core 4.2.5 not working |

I am trying to configure the [\Memory\% Committed Bytes In Use] Perfmon counter to alert on low available memory. Ive created a Data Source point for the counter and defined a threshold with a data point of
[MemoryCommittedBytesPercentage_MemoryCommittedBytesPercentage], and a Maximum Value of 90, under the Event Class [/Perf/Memory].
The server consistently uses about 92% and no alerts are generated. Does this feature not work on the core version Any information or guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks.

I'm still trying to figure out if this metric works correctly in Zenoss Core 4.2.5 or only in Zenoss Enterprise (Service Dynamics). Does anyone have any thoughts on this

Response to Dpirmann: This is for Windows servers, but using WMI (WinPerf) instead of SNMP.

These aree Windows Server 2008R2 & 2012 machines in device class /Server/Windows/WMI.
Using Monitoring Template Device_WMI (/Server/Windows)
Zenpacks installed include: ActiveDirectory, WindowsMonitor
Data Sources are type WinPerf and include the following:
Name: MemoryCommittedBytesPercentage ; Perf Counter: \Memory\% Committed Bytes In Use
Name: ProcessorTotalUserTime ; Perf Counter: \Processor(_Total)\% User Time
Name: MemoryCommittedBytes ; Perf Counter: \Memory\Committed Bytes
Name: ProcessorTotalProcessorTime ; Perf Counter: \Processor(_Total)\% Processor Time
Name: sysUpTime ; Perf Counter: \System\System Up Time
