Hi,
I would like to know if it is possible to make a backup of Zenoss 4.2.0 RHEL5.4 and then do a restore on a new Zenoss 4.2.0 but on RHEL 6.5
Thank you.

Plus, do I need to install the ZenPack Core 4.2.0 on the new Zenoss server before doing the restore on this same one
Thank you.

Good question, I wonder about OS upgrades as well.
But as far as the restore, I would install Zenoss and use the zenrestore cmd. I have only tried it on same version of Zenoss and OS.

1. zenbackup on the centos 5 box because you're about to make some major changes, and you need a good backup. I'd also tarball $ZENHOME
2. update to 4.2.5
3. zenbackup again
4. installl fresh zenoss 4.2.5 on centos 6
5. restore
