I'm not sure if this is actually a Zenoss error or if this is something else. But I'm running the Alpha2 virtualbox image and can no longer connect to my zenoss instance. In /var/log/upstart/serviced.log I see the following.

E0414 20:48:50.575843 02731 container.go:147] Unexpected failure of elasticsearch, got exit status 1
E0414 20:48:50.577573 02731 container.go:147] Unexpected failure of zookeeper, got exit status 1
panic: runtime error: invalid memory address or nil pointer dereference
[signal 0xb code=0x1 addr=0x40 pc=0x622a29]
If this is a zenoss issue I'll open up a ticket, but let me know if there are any other logs you need besides the /var/log/upstart/serviced.log file. Otherwise I'm just going to reboot my VM.

This is a Zenoss error, please file it as a defect with any instructions on how to reproduce if possible.

Ticaiazza, did you file a bug about this issue I am seeing the same error.
Initially everything was fine. Then I left my VM in suspended mode for few days and then powered it up. My APP UI didn't come up. I saw the error "Unexpected failure of zookeeper, got exit status 1" in my log.
I searched jira.zenoss.com, but didn't find anything.

I did actually file a bug, ZEN-11325 It has since been closed since the beta release. I'm running the beta release now and will let everyone know if i see the issue again.
