I have been doing survey of zenoss for finding out useful OSS monitoring tool.

does anyone knows the information about zenoss below

please tell me the detail, I have been looking for the web site, but I havent understand or cant find the answers...

1. dose zenoss proviede the NMS ( like the picture of network structure.)

2. can zenoss monitor WEB server and Application server ( like apache or JBoss) for example, monitoring the speed the downloding files or response time or monitoring some strings.

3. can zenoss monitor DB server (like postgreSQL or oracleDB) for example, monitoring buffer cache hit or CPU time...

4. can zenoss monitor hypervisor of virtual machine (like VMware ESXi) resource of CPU and memory and disk...

5. can we put the script that we create in zenoss and use as monitoring function ( I mean , the same function "custom script")

6. dose zenoss provide the job management function

2) Can Zenoss monitor web and application servers Yes. You can see a complete list of what the open source product covers here: http://wiki.zenoss.org/Free_Zenoss_ZenPacks and what the commercial product covers here: http://wiki.zenoss.org/All_Zenoss_ZenPacks. And of course the community has extended the above substantially: http://wiki.zenoss.org/Community_ZenPacks
