Hi

I'm trying to get zenoss set up to monitor our environment and I'm having issues getting uptime to not be reported as "unknown" on the device overview page.

We have some storage devices that don't respond to snmp commands and have a customized CLI so I've written a script that ssh's into the controller and retrieves the uptime value but I'm not sure how to get this info to show up under the uptime section on the overview page.

Naming the monitor sysUpTime with a sysUpTime gauge doesn't seem to work and I've not been able to find any information online on how to do this.

You'll need to override the device template Data Source for uptime. See the one for /Server/Cmd for example... (go to Advanced -> Monitoring Templates -> Device -> /Server/Cmd)
