Would you mind tell me what is the main purpose of using and adding MIBs to zenoss when they are necessary. For example, recently I've installed Mikrotik router zenpack on my zenoss core 4.2.5, do I have to add Mikrotik's associated MIBs if yes, for what purpose

the MIB's will make received SNMP traps more "readable" because you get a description instead of an OID.
