How to Monitor Script Driven Web Page

I have an internal website that is updated every five minutes by script. I need to monitor it with Zenoss to make sure the script hasn't stopped working. What is the recommended route to do that?

I know I can use the HttpMonitor template but that doesn't seem like the right route since the web page is still being served, it is just not updated. I've read that I can use the Command Template with a command line but that doesn't seem to be working. Perhaps I am not using it right? Is the command I am entering being used on the Zenoss host or the remote machine?

Is there a different/better way to do this? It seems like a fairly standard thing for Zenoss to do but I'm still pretty new at this.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
