Subject: | What is the correct way to scale Zenoss 5? |

Hello everyone,
I have an old version of Zenoss right now, and am going to upgrade with new hardware to Zenoss Core 5, however I have over 1,000 devices that I need to monitor, and I can't find any recommendations on how to do it. Does anyone have Zenoss Core 5 running and monitoring >1000 devices who could point me in the right direction
Thanks,
Michael

Subject: | I have a 5.0.9 box with 12 |

I have a 5.0.9 box with 12 CPU, 96GB RAM and the largest number of devices it can handle is 1100. I have posted a few times on here regarding scaling and have yet to receive an answer. There is supposedly a collector zenpack in the works, but who knows how long it will take until it is released and stable. I am thinking about building a resource host in the meantime, but I'm not exactly sure if scaling the resources will result in a 1:1 ratio with monitored devices (i.e. 24 CPU could handle 2200 devices).
Can anyone provide any reliable info regarding scaling Any update on the collector zenpack or who to contact about that
